Ask Mr. Answer Person: A follow-up about last year's question about Nordic Fest flags

The flags are blowing in the breeze--but they're not getting hung up on the wires

Last July several decorahnews.com readers e-mailed Mr. Answer Person about Nordic Fest flags which had curled around the wires used to hang them over intersections in Decorah.

While nothing was done about the issue last year, Mr. Answer Person is proud to report that this year's Nordic Fest flags are hanging straight.

That's due to Decorah resident Jill Amdahl, who had sewn  pockets on the flags after last year's Fest for either lathe or plexi-glass strips to be inserted so the flags wouldn't twist.  The pockets and the strips appear to be working this July, so compliments to Jill for the super job she did!
