Deadline for deconstruction of Caretaker's House extended to end of the year

The Oneota Historic Future Alliance has a new deadline for the deconstruction of the Caretaker's House at Wellington Place. 

Winneshiek County supervisors have extended the group's deadline to December 31st of this year.  OHFA has made an agreement with NICC to have classes taught on deconstruction techniques, with the Caretaker's House as the work site, but earlier classes had to be cancelled due to lack of enrollment. 

County officials say they've had contacts from several new companies that have expressed interest in the salvage materials from the building, so they expect the deconstruction to be done by the end of the year.
