Survey is available about countywide Planning & Zoning issues

Winneshiek County residents and business owners can take a new survey about countywide planning issues.

The survey was created by the county's Comprehensive Smart Plan Committee to provide information and feedback to be used in drafting the County's updated Comprehensive Plan.  The plan is a long range guide to be used for reference in land use and resource management.  It also outlines short, mid and long range goals and related projects for Winneshiek County. 

The public's input will allow the committee to identify what the residents and visitors see as issues facing the county and what vision residents hold for how the county should operate over the next 20 years.

The survey is available at www.surveymonkey.com/s/Winneshiek_County_Comprehensive_Smart_Plan_Survey  The survey is also available online at http://www.winneshiekcounty.org/planzone_l.html . Paper copies are available at the County Courthouse.

The questionnaire is estimated to take about 15 minutes to complete.  Responses will be gathered for three months, then will be tabulated and used as the committee puts together the County-Wide Comprehensive Smart plan.
