Decorah HS remodeling is slightly ahead of schedule

The construction project at Decorah High School is going well.

Decorah School Board members took a tour of the construction on Monday night and were told that a few parts of the project are slightly ahead of schedule.

Work on the project has been concentrated in the school's media center, where everything has been removed down to the bare walls.  Outside the building, well drilling crews are also at work.  Further down the hallway, floor coverings have been removed.

All the work is facing a deadline of this year's opening of school--at least in the two story academic wing.  School officials say there might be some minor disturbances, but it's looking good for having students back in classrooms in the fall.
