Two arrested for Fort Atkinson burglary

A Cresco man and a Calmar teenager have been arrested for a burglary in Ft. Atkinson.

Winneshiek County Sheriff's Deputies say they received a phone call early Friday morning about a burglary in progress at the Lickety Split convenience store and Rausch Auto at 101 3rd Street NW in Fort Atkinson.

Witnesses identified two individuals leaving the scene of the crime.  Deputies tracked down the two to Calmar, where they allegedly confessed to the crime.

20-year-old Jason Krahmer of Cresco was arrested and jailed for 3rd Degree Burglary, a felony.  16-year-old Kristopher Kennedy of Calmar is being referred to Juvenile Court on 3rd Degree Burglary charges.
