County redistricting commission endorses new supervisor district boundaries

The Winneshiek County Temporary Redistricting Committee has tentatively endorsed a map of new boundaries for supervisory districts.

A public hearing on the plan has been scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 26th in the Board room at the Winneshiek County Courthouse.

The members of the Temporary Redistricting Committee are: Don Wurtzel (chair), Wanda Hemesath (secretary), Jon Lubke, Earl Winter, and Lyle Otte (appointed to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Barb Ettleson.)

Questions regarding the procedure can be directed to the county Auditor's office (auditor@co.winneshiek.ia.us).  Comments on the proposed districts should be made to the committee members.
