Two Decorah area members of the 322nd Engineer Battalion reenlist--on the 4th of July

General David H. Petraeus congratulates Sergeant Devin Creek of Decorah

The 4th of July was a special day for two members of the 322nd Engineer Battalion headquartered in Afghanistan.

Sergeant Devin Creek of Decorah and Staff Sergeant Matt Vine of rural Cresco decided to reenlist on July 4th. A ceremony was arranged to mark the occasion--featuring General David H. Petraeus, the Commander of International Security Forces and Commander of US Forces Afghanistan.

Creek is the son of Jim & Marla Creek of Decorah, while Vine is the son of Duane Vine & Connie Pahl of Cresco.
