Decorah businessman David Polansky has gotten his wish--City of Decorah officials have approved his request to be allowed to use public sidewalks as a location of his proposed mobile hot dog stand.

The City's Properties Committee on Tuesday night approved a list of nearly 20 conditions for the operation of the hot dog stand.  City council member Rachel Vagts said "people are intrigued with the idea."  But several other city council members said their "yes" vote was conditional--that they saw this summer as a trial period and not a permanent approval.
