Students in the Professional Massage Therapy program at NICC will provide chair massages on Friday at the 15th Annual Lynch Family NICC Foundation Golf Classic from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Oneota Golf Course in Decorah.

NICC massage therapy students receive 850 hours of training including massage theory, anatomy and physiology, kinesiology, pathology and many hours of hands-on training including table and chair massage. The students offer their services in public settings under the supervision of NICC instructor Patsy Martinson, a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT), Certified Healing Touch Practitioner (CHTP) and Association of Bodywork and Massage Professionals Certified Massage Therapist (ACMT).

The NICC massage therapy students have also provided chair massage for NICC students during finals week each semester this year, at the open house for the new NICC Student Center, at the Women's Weekend Out in Decorah and at the Decorah Free Clinic.
