Winneshiek Energy District wants to develop an "energy ethic"

Representatives of the Winneshiek Energy District have told members of Decorah's Lions Club that WED is trying to develop an energy ethic in the Winneshiek County area.

Executive Director Andy Johnson and Energy Conservationist David Paquette told the Lions Club the Energy District provides technical assistance to help homeowners and businesses asses energy saving practices which are cost effective.  

Johnson said that in addition to the $2,000 per home that is available to help pay the cost of energy saving upgrades, $5,000 per business is available in Decorah.
