Decorah Police have purchased a mobile radar display

The Decorah Police Department has a new piece of equipment designed to discourage speeding.  A mobile radar display can be hauled to any location within the city to show approaching traffic what speed they are traveling.

Decorah Police Chief bill Nixon says the unit can also track traffic data involving road use by time of data.  By moving the mobile unit to various locations throughout the city Nixon says the police department can get "tangible data" on traffic levels.
