Gundersen Lutheran--Decorah Clinic adds a second full-time optometrist

Gundersen Lutheran--Decorah Clinic now has two full-time optometrists.

Dr. Jennifer Gipp began working full-time at the clinic June 1st, joining optometrist Dr. Craig Carson.  She had previously been splitting her time with the Gundersen Lutheran Eye Clinic – Prairie du Chien since July 2009.

After completing her undergraduate education at Luther College, she went on to get her Doctor of Optometry at Indiana University in Bloomington.  After internships in Evansville, Indiana and Northfield, Minnesota, she completed an ocular disease residency at the St. Louis VA Medical Center.

 In September of 2010 she married Decorah attorney Barrett Gipp, whom she met when they were both attending Luther College.  They decided to live in Decorah, so she says while she will miss the people in Prairie Du Chien, "It's been a blessing to be back here. Decorah has given me so much over the years, and I feel very fortunate to be able to give back."
