New member of Luther College Board of Trustees named

Luther College President Richard Torgerson has announced the appointment of Wendy Jaycox Davidson of Reisterstown, Maryland to the Luther Board of Regents.

Davidson holds the bachelor of arts degree from Luther College. As an alumna, she has served Luther as a mentor on advisory groups for college operations and special projects.

Davidson serves as vice president and general manager of consumer food manufacturing in the U.S. and Latin American region for McCormick & Co.  She began her career with Tyson Foods, Inc. in 1993 as a sales representative for the Food Service group.  She was named Tyson Food Service Division Marketer of the Year in 1998.  In 2001, she was named director of global sales and marketing for the McDonald's Business Unit at Tyson.  In 2006 she was named senior vice president and general manager of the corporation's national accounts and prepared foods division.

In 2010 , she accepted an executive position with McCormick & Co.
