Accident causes $3,000 in damages

A one-car accident Saturday afternoon on Chimney Rock Road caused $3,000 in damages.

The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Department says 18-year-old Alexander Bigalk of Harmony was forced to the shoulder by an oncoming vehicle. The shoulder of the roadway gave away, causing the vehicle t roll off an embankment and come to rest against a tree. Bigalk was not injured.
