NICC Board approves nearly $3 million in jobs training contracts

The Northeast Iowa Community College Board of Trustees has approved  the sale of nearly $3 million in Industrial New Jobs Training contracts.  The sale is expected to create nearly 500 new jobs in the NICC district.

Since 1985, NICC has awarded nearly $63 million in training dollars that has directly resulted in the creation of more than 12,500 jobs. "Through the administration of this program and the training it provides new and expanding businesses, the college is an integral part of the vitality and growth of our communities," stated NICC Vice President of Economic Development Services Wendy Mihm-Herold.
