No decision on hot dog stand application

City of Decorah officials have not been able to come to an agreement yet on how to handle an application from Decorah businessman David Polansky to be allowed to use city sidewalks for a hot dog stand.

The city's Property Committee discussed the issue Monday night.  Chairman John Franzen says the committee wrestled with whether it is appropriate to allow a business to use a sidewalk that has been paid through property taxes levied on competing businesses.  Polansky is also trying to finalize the location of his hot dog stand before the Property Committee votes.

The committee will meet again July 5th.
