Record crowd comes for Iowa Public TV's Dan Wardell

A record-breaking crowd of 341 people came Wednesday to see Iowa Public Television's Dan Wardell at two story times at the Decorah Public Library.

The first program at 10:00 a.m. brought 247 to the library. The second program at 11:00 a.m. brought another 94.  Last year the two back-to-back programs brought a total of 242 people to the librar.

Wardell's visit to the Decorah Public Library was one of 65 libraries Wardell will visit this summer.  The "Reading Road Trip Across Iowa" features an interactive original story that is connected to the libraries' summer reading theme.  More information is available at www.iptv.org/dantastic.
