Decorah optomestrist Dr. Jim Meehan announces his retirement

After nearly 40 years of practicing optometry in Decorah, Dr. Jim Meehan has announced he will be retiring from Drs. Meehan & Schwartz Family Eye Care in July. 

"It has been both my privilege and honor to be entrusted with the care of my patient's vision needs, and I thank you," said Dr. Meehan.

Dr. Meehan and his wife Helen have raised their family in Decorah since 1972.  They say they intend to remain in the community. 

"Drs. Meehan & Schwartz Family Eye care would like to extend thanks and gratitude to Dr. Meehan for his many years of dedicated service to our community and his ongoing support of the business.  He is a great mentor, leader and partner and will truly be missed"; remarked Dr. Brad Schwartz.
