Luther College has announced that many of its employees will be receiving a one-time $750 salary bonus. The money will be given to employees with a .75 to 1.0 FTE appointment, while employees with a .50 to .74 appointment will receive a pro-rated bonus.
Luther officials say the bonus was possible because the college had a 2010-11 budget surplus. Greater than projected tuition revenue and unspent contingency funds contributed to the end-of-school-year surplus.
