Special traffic enforcement project is underway

Law enforcement agencies in Iowa, including the Decorah Police Department and the Winneshiek County Sheriff's Department, will participate in a "Click It or Ticket" safety belt enforcement campaign.

Officers will be cracking down on motorists who fail to wear their safety belts.  If an officer finds you unbuckled, you can expect to get a $127 ticket--not a warning.
