Lawler man arrested on drunk driving charges

Decorah Police say 23-year-old Zachery Njus of Lawler lost control of his car early Saturday morning while driving on Highway 52 at its intersection with Highway 9.

Njus tried to merge onto eastbound Highway 9, but went into the ditch, ending up lodged next to a culvert.  The car was destroyed in the accident.

Njus was not injured, but he was charged with first offense drunk driving.
