North Winneshiek 7th and 8th graders compete in Iowa energy Olympics

North Winneshiek 7th and 8th graders had five first place finishes at the Iowa Energy Olympics held at the University of Northern Iowa.

North Winn students finished first in Solar Cars, Gear Drive Wind Generators, Direct Drive Wind Generators (large and small divisions) and Solar Art. 

They also earned a second place trophy in the Solar Oven division, though there may be some question as to the results because the first place winning oven burned up!
