Has "Cliff," Decorah's wild goat, taken a hike?

Posted: Thu, May 19, 2011 8:03 PM

It's the end of a week in spring in Decorah, so you'll understand why the staff of decorahnews.com would rather be kayaking or biking or walking today, instead of doing investigative reporting.  That's why we've decided to turn our work over to you, our readers!  That's right--decorahnews.com wants to know whether anyone has recently seen "Cliff," the wild black goat that was living in small caves in the bluffs along Highway 52.  Cliff survived harsh winters and loud traffic—not to mention the intrusive presence of decorahnews.com reporters.  But now it seems "Cliff" has found…uhm…greener pastures.  At least, we haven't spotted him for at least three months.  So here's our question to you—has anyone seen "Cliff" lately?  E-mail us a news@decorahnews.com

The cliffs are a little lonelier lately!
