Apparent low bid for Decorah High School project is $20.4 million

Decorah School District officials on Thursday afternoon opened four bids on the renovation and remodeling of Decorah High School.

The apparent low bid was $20,438,000 from Larson Construction of Independence, which also has done projects at the NICC Calmar campus.  However, Decorah School District officials are studying all of the bids, since there are a total of nine alternate bids that could affect the overall price.

The Decorah School Board will meet at 5:00 p.m. Thursday to act on the bids.
