Decorah firefighters called to hay bale fire

Decorah firefighters were called to the Ray Ransom farm at 2536 143rd Avenue just before noon on Monday.  13 round hay bales had caught on fire. 

The owner was in the process of separating the burning from the non burning bales when firefighters arrived.  The burning bales were extinguished.  There was no report of injuries.  The cause of the fire was determined to be accidental.
