Tuition charges will go up at NICC

The cost of tuition per credit hour at Northeast Iowa Community College is going up 5.3 percent.

The NICC Board of Trustees has approved an $8 per credit hour increase in tuition for the 2012 fiscal year.  That means the fee for tuition at NICC will now by $145 per credit hour.

NICC vice president of finance and administration John Noel, who recommended the increase, said it was necessary due to the uncertainty of the funds NICC would receive from the State of Iowa.
