NICC Board of Trustees got a chance Monday to express their appreciation to NICC President Penny Wills for the work she has done over the past seven years.
It was the first board meeting since wills announced that she was leaving to take a job as president of a community college in Prescott, Arizona.
"We've gone through the crying," joked NICC Board President Dr. Ken Reimer. "We'll miss you a lot," he told Wills.
Reimer says the NICC Board will meet either May 23rd or June 2nd to appoint an interim NICC president and to formally accept Wills' resignation. That formal resignation is still in the works, since the Arizona community college is still working on drafting a formal contract with Wills.
