Trout Unlimited chapter announces items to be sold at its live auction

As part of its "Celebration of Conservation" event in three weeks, the Iowa Driftless Chapter of Trout Unlimited will hold a live auction.

The group says items to be sold at the auction will include a 12.5-foot Wenonah Adirondack-style kevlar paddling canoe; an 8-foot Cimarron drift boat; a Granger Champion antique bamboo fly rod; a Camp Quilt handmade by local artists Jean and Tom Murray; a distinctive Steve Cox handmade spinning rod with rattlesnake skin inlay; and custom flies hand tied by A.K. Best in a wooden display box.

The Iowa Driftless Chapter of Trout Unlimited's fundraiser will run from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Saturday, June 4th, at Seed Savers Exchange Heritage Farm.  Admission for the event is $20 for adults (children 12 and under are free.  Lunch will be prepared from noon to 1:30 p.m. featuring locally produced food and beverages. Raffle drawings will be announced from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. The live auction begins at 2:30 p.m.  All funds raised will be used to improve trout habitat in northeast Iowa trout streams.
