Tired of the eagle cam? State of Iowa is offering "falconcam"

Yes, there's Decorah's famous eaglecam, but there's also an Iowa peregrine falcon cam the Iowa DNR is trying to publicize.

Since 1993 there has been a falcon nest on top of a downtown Des Moines building.  There have been 46 young produced at this site.

The live web cam can be seen at at http://www.iowadnr.gov/wildlife/diversity/falconcam.html

DNR officials say the Wildlife Diversity Program (WDP) gets no state general fund money and operates entirely on donations directly to the program or through donations to the Fish & Wildlife Trust Fund Chickadee Checkoff) on state tax forms.

The State of Iowa is asking for contributions to the Wildlife Diversity Program at 1436 255th Street, Boone, IA 50036 or contact Pat.Schlarbaum@dnr.iowa.gov
