Ask Mr. Parks & Rec Answer Person: "Is there a plan to connect the end of the Phelps Park trail where it ends at the Cut with the new (Trout Run) Trail?

Peter e-mails Mr. Parks & Recreation Answer Person: "I was out exploring the trail by the Cut on Sunday and wondered if there is a plan to connect the end of the Phelps Park trail where it ends at the Cut with the new (Trout Run) trail?  And if not, why not?  Seems to me it would make a nice loop walk.

Mr. Parks & Recreation Answer Person is pleased to inform you that the Decorah Park/Rec Department plans to connect the two trails. 

Park-Rec Director Rick Edwards says, "It will only be a walking trail, as bikes are not allowed on the Phelps Park trail."
 
One of the bridges on the Phelps Park Trail had been closed, but Edwards says the bridge is now open, so the entire Phelps Park Trail can be hiked.
