North Winneshiek School Board approves superintendent's contract, acts on other personnel matters

Personnel matters dominated the agenda of the North Winneshiek School Board on Monday.

The school board approved a three year contract extension for Superintendent/Principal Tim Dugger.  He will receive a two percent salary increase for the 2011-2012 school year, with other future salaries to be determined at a later date.  His 2011-2012 salary will be $92,431.89. 

The North Winn board also approved having a substitute building supervisor when the superintendent/principal is not in the building.  Matt Amundson will handle additional duties and discipline issues which need immediate attention when Superintendent Dugger is out of the district.  He will be paid $30/day for this additional duty.  The school board also approved hiring Matt Amundson for the 2011-2012 athletic directors' position with a salary of $2,500.
  
The board approved a 3.95 percent salary increase for support staff for next school year.  The support staff includes secretaries, cooks, custodians, bus drivers, associates, and a nurse.

The board approved Lisa Barth for the 2011-2012 curriculum director's position with a salary of $2,000.
