County supervisors interested in a food garden at Wellington Place

Winneshiek County supervisors say they're interested in a proposal to create a vegetable garden at Wellington Place to help raise food for the patients at the facility.

Pepperfield Project Director David Cavagnaro spoke with supervisors about the idea on Monday.  Although he said he did not have a formal proposal about a garden, he declared Wellington Place was "a perfect facility" for such a garden.  

County Board Chairman Les Askelson encouraged Cavagnaro to meet with the Wellington Place board of directors to discuss the proposal further.
