Two Decorah High School students are asking for the public's help

Posted: Sun, May 8, 2011 12:53 PM

Decorah High School freshmen Aidan Spencer and Clara Kittleson are looking for help with their National History Day project.

The two created a documentary about the legal case of Sessions vs. Decorah Community School District, which involved issues surrounding the home schooling of students in Decorah.  The two students interviewed Superintendent Michael Haluska, attorney Don Gloe, Eric Sessions, Linda Watson and several other local Decorah residents about the case.

However, the two students are looking for other Decorah residents who remember the case.  They are also looking for a copy of the video from the Sessions' appearance on the Phil Donahue show. Anyone with information should email jkeune@decorah.k12.ia.us.
