A Decorah girl and members of her family have returned from a trip to Los Angeles to meet Miley Cyrus.
12-year-old Courtney Smith, the daughter of Bill and Kris Smith of Decorah, was referred to the Make-A-Wish Foundation by her doctors at the University of Wisconsin Children's Hospital in Madison.
Courtney is a huge fan of Miley Cyrus after getting hooked when younger on watching "Hannah Montana." So when Make-A-Wish asked her what her wish was, she didn't have to think long.
Courtney, her mom and dad, her aunt Karen and her friend Dallas were flown out to Los Angeles last Monday. On Tuesday she and 20 other kids were taken out for a meal--followed by private, one-on-one meetings with Miley Cyrus.
Miley gave Courtney some advice on where to shop in Los Angeles, then posed for a picture with Courtney.
Following the one-on-one meetings, the kids got to sit in on a rehearsal for Miley Cyrus' upcoming concert tour, listening to nine songs.
Courtney's mother, Kris, says her daughter has been talking constantly about Miley Cyrus since their meeting. "She was full of smiles," says Kris. "She kept saying, 'I can't believe I met Miley Cyrus!'."
