Decorah eagle cam is a community affair

Because Bob Anderson is the director of the Raptor Resource Project, which runs Decorah's bald eagle webcam, he gets a lot of attention.

But Anderson makes it clear the eaglecam is a community project in Decorah.  He says Willard and MaryEllen Houlthaus and LaVonne Bjergum have provided permission for the bald eagle camera to be on their property and have been steadfast in their support--even when they had to put up with people staring at their house and some even trespassing on their property.

Jim Womeldorf and Dave Kester have also provided invaluable support.

Anderson thanks Kenny Phillips and Shanna Riha at Sims TV and Electronics for their instant response when the eagle cam has a computer glitch and
Jim Sims and the entire gang at Sims for their support.  Says Anderson, "We use a lot of various electronic equipment and, if they don't have they get it for me in short order.  These people should be given the Key to the City."

Amy Ries has been serving as the web master for Raptor Resource Project.  She wrote the script and ran the tests to send the live video/audio to Ustream.  Amy Ries, Dave Kester and Neil Rettig installed the cameras up in the nest tree.
