Decorah HS art students win awards

Several Decorah High School visual arts students have won awards at the Northeast Iowa High School Art Show.

Ingrid Rotto took first place in the black and white drawing category with her self-portrait. Decorah's entries swept the pen and ink drawing category, with Ingrid Rotto placing first, Kasi Misseldine in second place, Addie Hansen taking third place, and Camille Maker winning honorable mention.

Amber Kuennen took first place in the craft category with her monksbelt linen and wool weaving.  Riley Samuelson won second place in the photography category.  Jordan Skillings took second place in the sculpture category with her clay slab sculpture, "One Picture is Worth a Thousand Words." She also received honorable mention for her Pre-Columbian effigy pot in the ceramics category.
