Members of the Northeast Iowa Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in Decorah got down and dirty recently.
Members of the fellowship donated time to help eradicate garlic mustard plants from Twin Springs Park.
The group also heard from Luther College biology professor Beth Lynch, who discussed the reasons for wanting to keep this invasive alien species under control. She then gave a demonstration on how to dig up the plant.
The members present made a commitment to return and work on the same spots in future years.
