One car accident causes $2,000 in damages

Police say a Minneapolis man fell asleep Sunday morning while driving on Highway 9 in Decorah.

23-year-old Trent Baersdahl drifted over the center line, went off the road into a ditch and struck two driveway culverts and two Qwest utility boxes.  Damage was estimated at $2,000.

Baersdahl was cited for failure to maintain control of his vehicle and for driving without insurance.
