New doctors getting hired for Winneshiek Medical Center emergency room

A Decorah doctor says she has concerns about some of the staffing of Winneshiek Medical Center's emergency room lately.  Dr. Kristy Schilling, presenting the medical staff's report to the WMC Board of Trustees on Wednesday, said concerns had been raised about some "marginal quality" of locums physicians working at the emergency room recently.  Her comments did NOT refer to other staffers at the ER.

But hospital officials say one physician, Dr. Gentry, will begin work in the ER in June and another possible ER physician will be interviewed on Friday.
