Chad asks Mr. Answer Person: "Do you have any idea when the restrooms will be finished at the Decorah fish hatchery?"

Mr. Answer Person says:  Here's the word from Peggy Beatty, a member of the Friends of the Fish Hatchery organization:

"The current status is that the architectural plans have been drawn up and approved, and the bids will be let by the end of June.  At that point we are hoping that construction can begin immediately.  We are still hoping that the facility will be completed by fall – depending on the availability of those who will be doing the construction.

We are holding to the $250,000 estimate for the construction of the facility, and with pledges, money "in the bank," and matching grants, we are currently more than halfway to our goal.   We certainly welcome people to consider making donations.  There are events being planned for this spring and summer at the fish hatchery to keep people informed.
