Decorah Yard Waste Site opens for the season

It's a sign of spring--the Decorah Yard Waste Site opened for the season Wednesday afternoon.

The site will have the same hours this season as it did last year--from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesdays and from 8:00 a.m. until noon on Saturdays.  The facility will accept yard waste only from properties within the city limits which are hauled to the site by residents of the City of Decorah.

Later this spring the Yard Waste Site will give away free compost and wood chips.  That event is set for May 20th and 21st.
