"Luther Sketches," a 50-minute theatre production that takes lighthearted look at the college's 150-year history, will be performed Wednesday and Thursday in the Luther Center for Faith and Life.
The production depicts historic moments, traditions, people, legends, and other iconic folklore about the college. It will be performed at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Recital Hall of the Center for Faith and Life and at 9:40 a.m. Thursday in the Main Hall of the Center for Faith and Life. The 50-minute performances are open to the public with no charge for admission.
Seven Luther theatre/dance students and theatre professor Robert Larson researched, wrote and produced the work as part of a January-term class. Larson calls the work a "150th birthday card for Luther alumni."
