Northeast Iowa Community College has received a $7,500 grant to fund a three-day seminar for area educators. The seminar, "Employment and Career Awareness for Students," will help educators to discuss key employment skills and career options in Iowa.
The seminar will be offered June 13th to 15th at the NICC Peosta campus. Educators throughout Northeast Iowa are receiving invitations to attend the seminar, which will share employment and career awareness trends, particularly in the industries of advanced manufacturing, information technology and bioscience.
"This course will help educators prepare students to succeed in the workplace," said NICC Career Outreach coordinator Kathy Weber. Contact Weber at (563) 556-5110, extension 440 for registration or credit information.
