Two Decorah men arrested in Oregon on drug charges

Two Decorah men have been arrested in Lakeview, Oregon after an Oregon State Police officer allegedly found more than 11 pounds of marijuana in the trunk of their car.

The trooper noticed a 1995 Volkswagen Jetta pull out of a gas station and nearly get involved in a traffic collision.  Subsequent investigation during the traffic stop led to the discovery of nearly 11 1/2 pounds of marijuana concealed inside the car's trunk. The estimated value of the seized marijuana is over $28,000.

36-year-old Lee Walfrid Chapman and 28-year-old Seth Kelley Elkin, both from Decorah, were arrested and booked into jail for Unlawful Possession and Distribution of Marijuana.
