Hiring trends look good, local Manpower officials say

Representatives of the Decorah Manpower office say Northeast Iowa employers plan to do a lot of hiring in the next three months.  Manpower officials say their survey of employers is predicting "the best quarter in a long time" in Iowa and locally.  17 percent of companies surveyed in Iowa say they plan to add staff in the second quarter.  Local Manpower officials say they have already noticed a strong upsurge in hiring for local manufacturing jobs.
