North Winneshiek reaches tentative contract agreement with teachers

The North Winneshiek Education Association and the North Winneshiek School Board have reached a tentative contract agreement for the 2011-2012 school year.

The contract agreement calls for a $400 base salary schedule increase, which makes the new base amount $29,250.  The salary raise calculates to a 3.38 percent increase.  That includes a 0.5 percent increase in the multiplier used to figure salaries for Bachelor's+30, Master's, and Master's+10 lanes in an effort to balance them.

Teachers will continue to receive single health and dental insurance.

The North Winneshiek Community School Board must approve this agreement at the April 11th regular board meeting.  The North Winneshiek Education Association has already ratified this agreement.
