Decorah Middle School students help a classmate

When Decorah Middle School seventh grader Tim Meyer's parents were recently injured in an automobile accident, his classmates came to the rescue.  

The 7th grade classes conducted a penny war, raising funds to help the Meyer family with expenses.  The 7th graders presented a check for $716.00 to Tim's family.  The seventh graders collected this amount in only three school days.
