Luther mock trial team goes 4-4 at College Mock Trial competition

TheLuther Mock Trial team went 4-4 over the weekend in an Opening RoundChampionship Series of the Collegiate Mock Trial Competition in Waukegan, Illinois.

Lutherwon both ballots in rounds against ValparaisoUniversity and IllinoisState University,and lost both in rounds against MichiganState and Washington State.  Mock Trial has no divisional structure, soeverybody goes against everybody regardless of size.  In this case 4-4 is not enough to go on tothe Final Round which is held each year at DrakeUniversity in Des Moines, where college mock trial wasborn.

Eventhough Luther will not compete at the Final Round, this is the first year aLuther team has qualified for the Opening Round Championship Series.
