Luther College Vice President for Academic Affairs William Craft appears ready to become the next president of Concordia College.
The college's search committee has recommended hiring Craft as president and is forwarding its recommendation to the school's Board of Regents, which is expected to meet within the next week to 10
days to act on the recommendation.
"We believe Dr. Craft is an excellent fit with the college's mission,"
said Concordia presidential search committee chair Randy Boushek.
Since 2000, Dr. Craft has served as vice president for academic
affairs and dean of the college at Luther. During his time at Luther,
Craft worked to revise the college's curriculum, to implement a collegewide strategic plan, to improve diversity and sustainability, and to build resources to support the college.
Craft previously worked 20 years at Mount Saint Mary's College in
Maryland as an English professor, including several years as chair of
the department.
