Winneshiek County has now reached a tentative contract agreement with all three of its employee unions.
The union representing sheriff's deputies has reached a tentative agreement with the county, meaning a mediation session scheduled for Tuesday afternoon has been canceled.
The terms of the agreement with the sheriff's deputies are identical to those of the agreements with jailers and with road workers: pay raises of 1.75 percent for the first and second years of the three-year contract, with a reopener for wages only in the third year.
All three tentative agreements still need to be officially signed by the unions and by the county, but that action is expected.
